The 2025 Tribeca Festival's Untold Stories winner, Liz Sargent's debut feature 'Take Me Home', has unveiled its cast and completed filming, with a 2026 Tribeca Festival premiere on the horizon. The film's cast includes Anna Sargent (sister of writer-director Liz Sargent), Victor Slezak (Hell on Wheels, The Order, Babygirl), Ali Ahn (Agatha All Along, The Diplomat, The Other Two), Marceline Hugot (Gilded Age, Black Mirror, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), and Shane Harper (Power Book IV: Force, Hightown, A Teacher).
Based on a short film of the same name, which premiered at Sundance in 2023, 'Take Me Home' explores the story of Anna, a 38-year-old Korean adoptee with a cognitive disability, as she cares for her aging parents. The film delves into the challenges of balancing their needs and the impact of a Florida heatwave on their routine. Anna's resilience and creativity shine as she navigates an uncertain future, creating a vibrant world of her own.
Writer-director Liz Sargent expressed her excitement about working with the talented cast, emphasizing their open-minded approach and deep respect for her sister Anna's character. The film's production team includes Apoorva Guru Charan and Minos Papas under Cyprian Films New York and All Caps, with executive producers Ai-jen Poo and Lydia Storie for Caring Across Generations, Jane Shin Park, Andrew Kim, Philipp Engelhorn, and Candice Sanchez McFarlane for Cinereach, Bill Pohlad and Kelly Martin for River Road, and former Film Academy president Janet Yang.
